What is meant by departmental test?

Departmental test otherwise known as department test is an online examination conducted by KPSC to asess the suitability of Kerala Govt employees to be promoted to higher posts in Govt service.

In some posts pass in department test is necessary to continue in that posts itself. ie, a pass in certain department tests is mandatory to complete their probation period successfully.
